Other Important News!!
On Friday, February 14th, 2020, the League of Women's Voters is officially 100 years old. The League was officially founded in Chicago in 1920, six months before the 19th amendment was ratified and women won the vote. Since then LWV members have worked to help establish the UN, campaigned for ERA ratification, and pushed for major legislation to improve access to voting. Today members of Local Leagues continue to help voters by holding voter registration events and candidate forums.
LWV of the Space Coast is celebrating the day with a voter registration event at  Cocoa Library from 2-4:30 pm. We are asking members to join us for a group photo at 4pm. Everyone is invited to attend and dressing like a suffragist/suffragette is encouraged. Following the photo-op. we will continue the celebration with a social at Bugnutty Brewing company in Cocoa Village.
