Description:
The League will march to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday.
We will need 1 - 2 cars for members who can't walk the distance, plus about 20 or more walkers.
Additionally, we need drivers who will ferry the walkers to and from the beginning and end of parade, meeting members in a centralized place, probably on New Haven Drive.
The parade starts at 10:00 but staging starts at 9:00. The route begins at the Liberty Bell Museum on Oak Street and continues mostly north on New Haven.
Flags, banners, and signs will be available. Members are asked to proudly wear their purple shirts and light-colored shorts or pants to create a uniform look. We will also be distributing our LWVSC cards with tootsie pops. (Throwing candy is not allowed.)
Won't you join us for this great event?
