 LWV Space Coast August Meeting 

to Focus on Gun Violence Prevention

The public is invited to attend the next meeting of the League of Women Voters of the Space Coast on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Suntree/Viera Public Library, 902 Jordan Blass Dr., Melbourne, FL. 32940. 

After the Surgeon General of the United States announced that gun violence is a public health crisis, the League will focus on gun violence prevention and safety at this meeting.  Guest speaker is Cathy Swerdlow, chairperson of the LWV Florida Gun Violence Prevention Action Team. She is also President of the League of Women Voters of Seminole County.  Her topic will be “Gun Violence Prevention: a Public Health Crisis”.

The League of Women Voters of the Space Coast’s mission is to be a non-partisan advocate for an educated, informed electorate. The League does not endorse any candidate.
