The National Popular Vote and The Electoral College System

 

Could there be an alternative to the way we use the Electoral College to determine the outcome of a Presidential Election?  On Saturday, April 12th, The League of Women Voters of the Space Coast will host Dan Lishansky from Floridians for the National Popular Vote. He will speak on the movement to potentially change the way we elect a president.  Mr. Lishansky serves on the statewide Steering Committee of Floridians for the National Popular Vote and is the Chair of the Palm Beach District. He is a former Police Deputy Chief and an attorney.

 

The meeting will be on Saturday, April 12th from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Viera Regional Park Rec Center, 2300 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, FL 32940.

The League of Women Voters of the Space Coast’s April topic will be Floridians for the National Popular Vote and how the NPV could be an alternative to the current use of the Electoral College system. The public is welcome to attend the meeting on Saturday, April 12th from 1 pm-2:30 pm at the Viera Regional Park Rec Center, 2300 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, FL 32040.
