MEMBERS Of THE PUBLIC ARE INVITED TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING PANEL DISCUSSION 

 
 

In recognition of January being National Slavery and Human Trafficking awareness month, a Hot Topic event on Human Trafficking is presented by the League of Women Voters of the Space Coast Social Justice Committee, in collaboration with Brevard County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Society, Inc., National Congress of Black Women Inc., Space Coast Chapter and the Central Brevard Branch NAACP, from 2 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022, on Zoom. The program is free and open to the public.

 

Event panelists include:

  • Jigisa Patel-Dookhoo, Division Chief of the Domestic Violence Division of the Office of the State Attorney, 18th Judicial Circuit. She successfully prosecuted the first human trafficking case in Seminole County. 

  • Nathan Earl, an expert on human trafficking of boys and men.

  • Mrs. Sabrina Lopez, Survivor Leader and CEO/ Founder of Girl Speak Up Inc.

The program will conclude with a question and answer period. 

Attendees are required to register for the program by noon on January 21. Early registration is recommended as space is limited. To register, go to www.lwv-spacecoast.org.
