Monitor,act, and provide timely information to the public on protection of the IRL, recycling, alternative energies,drilling and exploration, and other environmental concerns.

Advocates for adequacy, equity, and sustainability for our nation's public schools

Social Justice
Advocate to eliminate felon and juvenile injustice. Provide Human Trafficking awareness. Advocate on gun legislation in conjunction with LWVF Gun Safety Action Team. Educate and advocate on healthcare issues including Medicaid expansion, reproductive rights, KidCare and other issues. Support rights of minorities, women, LGBTQ persons and disabled persons.

Local Government
Study, monitor, educate, and advocate for change or issues related to the Brevard County Government. Provide an Observer Corps to follow local government meetings and identify potential need for action to the LWVSC board.

Disseminate information to various local organizations and to the membership, which includes league supported positions and issues. This information is presented via panels composed of committee chairs who are subject matter experts as well as board members depending on the subject.
